Naz and Matt Foundation is a specialist LGBTQI+ charity working at the intersection of faith, culture, family, and identity. Our work addresses the early causal factors of suicide and homelessness by supporting both LGBTQI+ individuals, and their parents.
We provide free, confidential, trauma-informed support to LGBTQI+ individuals and their families – particularly those from religious and culturally conservative backgrounds – helping them navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Everything we do is rooted in lived experience. Our team understands, first-hand, the challenges our community faces. That’s what makes us different, and it’s the kind of organisation we’re proud to be.
If you’d like to know more about who we are and what we do, you can find out more on our About Us page, read about our support services, or learn about the impact we’ve had since we were founded in 2014.

We’re looking for a part-time Support Worker to join our small, dedicated team. This is a meaningful role at the heart of everything we do – working directly with vulnerable individuals who need a safe, compassionate space to be heard.
Support Worker (Freelance)
£15 per hour* | 8 hours per week | Remote, London-based
We’re looking for a warm, resilient, and trustworthy person to join our support team – someone who will be the first point of contact for LGBTQI+ individuals and their families reaching out to us at some of the hardest moments of their lives.
This is a freelance, remote role with flexible hours, though you will need to be based in or near London and available for occasional face-to-face meetings. A DBS check is required.
We’re particularly keen to hear from people with lived experience of navigating LGBTQI+ identity within a religious or culturally conservative family – and especially from proud, accepting parents who speak Urdu or Punjabi alongside English. You’ll need a good understanding of how religion can intersect with family rejection, and a genuine willingness to go the extra mile for the people we support.
To apply, please email Matt directly at [email protected] with your CV, and a bit about yourself and why this role resonates with you. Please only apply if you have the legal right to work in the UK.
This post is exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. We kindly ask agencies not to contact us about this role.
* Salary to be reviewed in 2026
