Fasting, Ramadan and Gay Pride – Marching to end religious homophobia [video]

ZoomIn.tv’s film crew followed Ahmer, a practicing gay Muslim as he experienced his first ever gay pride – during Ramadan, and as he was fasting.

Marching with Naz & Matt Foundation, Ahmer joined the rest of our fabulous volunteers who all proudly marched through the streets of London to say “No” to religious and cultural homophobia.

Thank you Ahmer for allowing the film crew to follow your journey, and thank every one of you that volunteered to march with our Foundation… every step taken is a step closer to ending religious homophobia.

Can you be gay and Muslim… yes!

Matt set up the Naz and Matt Foundation in memory of his soulmate and fiancé, Naz, who passed away two days after being confronted about his sexuality by his religious parents. It was the first time that they knew their son was gay, in a relationship with Matt for 13 years and that they were planning to get married.
